Women Folk

I came across a wonderful music blog yesterday and was very happy with what I found. Not only did it include good reviews about under-the-radar artists, but they are reviews about WOMEN ARTISTS! Yay! So, instead of putting the focus on feature mainstream artists, they focus primarily on independent female singers and songwriters. This wonderful, new found site is called womenfolk.net.

Women Folk has been promoting women artists since 2004 and it has a wonderful collection of current and past interviews and reviews. The format is nice and clean, comparable to a simple Facebook style layout. It allows you to see past all the fluff and get down to what’s important, including well placed links pertaining to the artist and the like.

Artist recommendations and other suggestions are always welcome, but they do not guarantee that a feature or album review will be covered on this site. If you would like to submit an artist, please be sure to read the information regarding recommendations and submissions.
